Comments about Rune Factory Frontier (Wii):
Rune Factory: Frontier is a better-looking, more polished version of the series that spawned it - Harvest Moon. The game world is exquisite, the addition of monsters to tame or harvest is fun and the music is often excellent. The sporadic voice acting adds a layer of depth to the characters, helping them be more than silent lines.
The game has a lot of hidden sub-plots that are triggered only when you increase friendship with various people, making friend-making a necessity to experience the full game.
The use of the Rune system (a pretty, spiritual eco-system of sorts that must be physically adjusted and maintained) is rewarding when done well but can be devastating if neglected. Look up a guide on managing it right away - early action means less work later. There is almost no in-game tuition on the subject.
This game is time-consuming in the extreme. An in-game week can take a few hours of real-life time and as the goal of the game is long-term (farm, explore, unlock, befriend, marry, improve, upgrade) you can easily play this game for months and not even get close to finishing it.
One negative aspect of the game is the restriction on who you can marry. Only very specific girls are avaliable, excluding many other (more interesting) characters. You can only play as a boy. There are few customisation options for your character (only accessories and the like).
Another small negative of the game is that there are a LOT of internal schedules and data that the game does not reveal to you. A great deal of time and effort can be easily wasted by playing through trial and error. I strongly advise you have a guide to character likes and schedules on hand.
In the end, however, Rune Factory: Frontier is a stand-out game that is very hard to get a hold of and well worth the price. It is beautiful to behold, fun to play and something you can enjoy for years afterwards.

Comments about Rune Factory Frontier (Wii):
Can be an absorbing game, once you get the hang of the game. Have little bit of patience and it will get bit easier to understand as you play the game. The game is similar to the Harvest Moon games.
Take the time to read the Instruction Booklet.
