Description
Next-generation co-op action gaming from the makers of Half-Life, Portal, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike.
Left 4 Dead 2 is the sequel to the best-selling and critically-acclaimed co-operative multiplayer smash from Valve. The title adds melee combat to the award-winning L4D style of play, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more. The setting is at roughly the same time as the original - just after the outbreak that turned most of the population into various zombie mutants. Players assume the role of 4 new "Survivors," each with their own personality and new dialog. The game leads these Survivors through the south-eastern region of the US - from Savannah, Georgia thru the bayou country, and climaxing in New Orleans' French Quarter. Left 4 Dead 2 offers a much larger game than the original with more co-operative campaigns, more Versus campaigns, maps for Survival Mode at launch, and more...

Comments about Left 4 Dead 2 (PC):
A highly addictive multiplayer, zombie-killing game with new weapons and tactics added to what made the original work so well. If you've played the original Left 4 Dead (like me), this is a must-have. For those who haven't, if you enjoyed films like Shaun of the Dead or the more recent Zombieland, you will simply LOVE this game, as well as the original Left 4 Dead.
Sadly, the characters (and their dialogue) don't seem to have as much depth as the original, though the addition of melee weapons is a real treat. To all Aussie gamers, don't buy the Australian censored version, which really removes most that of what is fun with this game. The game available here on CD WOW! is an EU/UK version, with full gore turned on :D
Enjoy!

Great sequel to another outstanding game. This being the uncensored version, makes killing zombies very satisfying. Tonnes of replayability, with 4 game modes currently, 1 more yet to be released, and continued updates from Valve.

Comments about Left 4 Dead 2 (PC):
Expanded and perfected on the original sums up this game for anyone familiar with Left 4 Dead.
A must for any appreciator of online gaming. It is also a gentle pathway into online for those more accustomed with single player pursuits.
An uncensored version (such as UK or US retail copies) is a must. Censoring removes the graphic violence which (in this game) is critical to gameplay. In game atmosphere is based on graphic horror and is hence this atmosphere is broken down down by the lack of graphic horror.
Single player gamers will miss a connected story while progressing throughout the campaigns. However, after the first play-through (and there will absolutely be additional play-throughs if playing online) the story elements will no longer be missed.
A hysterical amusement with friends and a deep and enjoyable challenge online.

Comments about Left 4 Dead 2 (PC):
Since Australia has banned this product as it doesn't have an 18+ Rating for Games, it was hard to refuse the CDWOW offer which was also cheaper than buying over Steam (and saved me a large download).
I have played this game all the way through at the "Normal" level, and I can tell you that some sections were very difficult to complete in single player. I have done a co-op level with one of my friends which was a lot of fun (as the computer players never use things like pipe bombs, or bile jars which are helpful), but I am yet to try the other online games which includes playing as the zombies.
The only thing I don't like is that to get the achievement of completing a level you need to do the whole level in one sitting which took me on average about 2.5 hours (I like to kill nearly everything). You can pause the game (which I have done overnight more than once), but even though you can re-start the level at any of the safe rooms, it doesn't count towards a level completion.
Pros
- Gameplay
- Multiplayer
Cons
- Not as fun alone

Comments about Left 4 Dead 2 (PC):
Essentially, it's Left 4 Dead 1, but better in everyway. A shear improvement on the original winning formula. More guns, more zombies, more mulitplayer mayhem. A better apocolypse all round. Lets just hope the real thing is at least half as fun as this!
