Comments about DECCA - IMPORTS Luciano Pavarotti - Pavarotti - The Duets:
I was unsure of what I was letting myself in for but for a huge change I decided to purchase this album.
It is not duets with other opera stars but people from the pop world and what a mixture.
Every song has an essence to it and the mixture of singing styles and voices works on this album.
O sole mio with Bryan Adams is a real hoot until Pav takes over but the listener can feel the enjoyment of Adams being outside of his comfort zone.
The track with Zuchero justs uses charm with again the styles of singing.
The duet with Sinatra a gem just listen to MY Way with that extra little twist and a smile should come on your face.
The most powerful track for me was Holy Mother with Clapton leading follow by Pav and the ensuing guitar work just makes this so unique. This was the one that had me humming along and singing the catch line.
Worth a real decent listen to by anyone, take a chance and be amazed
