Description
Recorded from February to May in 1969, these tracks were made to follow up on the massive success of the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Any new material from this genius of rock is welcome, but a whole hour seems almost too good. It’s a blast from the past that we never got to hear with his cover of Cream’s ‘Sunshine of Your Love’, as well as Elmore James’ ‘Bleeding Heart’. Want more good news? There’s plenty more unreleased material for us in the future too. Hendrix was the type to record almost everything he played, meaning a plethora of unheard music will be heading our way in the future.
Hendrix left us all at age 27, but guitarists around the world seek his music as a guide to replicate a smidgeon of what he has conjured through his soulful rock music.

Comments about SONY BMG Jimi Hendrix - Valleys of Neptune:
Not that new, but great sound for old tracks, available before as bootleg.
It's great to hear Jimi once more, that sound, that voice, and the sophisticated, off-the-wall guitar playing. Great jal around Sunshine Of Your Love, good versions of some old classics, personally I enjoyed it as much as my old LPs Cry Of Love, Crash Landing et all..
I'll put this right on that league, (war heroes, etc)not essential as the "official" albums but great.
