Description

It would be easy to get carried away with all the buzz the Foals are receiving for their much anticipated 2nd album; Total Life Forever. However it must be said unlike so many new musical sensations; this band is defiantly as good as advertised (if not better). Total Life Forever follows up their debut album Antidotes (2008) which propelled these British electro-progressive-rockers into cult status.

While songs like Spanish Sahara, Black Gold and The Orient are exceptional tracks, what stands out most about this album is how well it listens in its entirety. From go-to-woe each song bridges beautifully with the next, quite an achievement for a young band experimenting with new and ambitious sounds.

So for once you can believe the critics and the hype as Total Life Forever is set to become one of the most acclaimed albums on 2010.

Comments about WARNER Foals - Total Life Forever:

While Foals' debut album "Antidotes" had some great singles ("Cassius, Balloons") "Total Life Forever" marks a big step forward for the band.

Comments about WARNER Foals - Total Life Forever:

The Foals' debut "Antidotes" was so original in sound and style that I doubted that they could create a follow up just as good, but they have.
"Total Life Forever" is not so subtle, lively and spontaneous as their first record, but The Foals are still The Foals. The speed of the songs has slowed down a bit, but the musicial expression is still very original, and the songs are great. A charming record that raises one's spirits.

Comments about WARNER Foals - Total Life Forever:

This is just fantastic, an outright gem which grows on you everytime you listen to it, got a bunch of albums at the same time and this is one of the stand outs, some people may like their first album more but I think this takes it in a close one
