Comments about POLYDOR Andrew Lloyd Webber - Love Never Dies (2CD+DVD Deluxe Edition):
Much better show than people give it credit for but it's no Phantom. However, if he churned out something that sounded the same as Phantom, everyone would give out too. There are some great tracks. Beauty Underneath is probably my favourite.

Comments about POLYDOR Andrew Lloyd Webber - Love Never Dies (2CD+DVD Deluxe Edition):
Vaunted as the sequel to the Phantom of the Opera it lacks the song strengths and plot byelines.Though pleasant as Andrew LLoyd Webber,s music always is it is not memorable or powerful . It is representative of much of the later work. The final completed work in its entirety could be totally different.

Comments about POLYDOR Andrew Lloyd Webber - Love Never Dies (2CD+DVD Deluxe Edition):
Love Never Dies is the soundtrack of Andrew Lloyd Webber's newest musical as a successor of the well loved "The Phantom of the Opera". Here Webber writes an undeniably passionate and sensitive score in a musical that can stand on its own. I admit that on first listening most of the songs were glossed over but once the motifs made an impression it was an awesome listening. In fact my appreciation of the complexity and musical themes of the pieces grew as I listened to this CD again and again. Ramin Karimloo sings tenderly and passionately as the phantom along with Sierra Boggess as a charming Christine. The Father-Son duet is a particularly powerful and yet tender musical moment, along with the haunting 'Til I hear You sing' and achingly beautiful Love Never Dies title track. Lyrics are somewhat of a let down, favouring form over emotion and content at times, which undeniably impacts on how well songs get into your head, but this is a minor blemish that is overshadowed still by Webber's epic work.
